"I have made it clear to Government officials that there will be no money from the treasury for use in the 2019 campaign. I will not authorize that. One of the legacies I would like to leave behind is the clean-up of campaign financing in Nigeria.

Reno Omokri releases indicting tapes against Amechi

A major stakeholder in the PDP Presidential election camp and a former aid to Goodluck Jonathan Reno Omokri has released through his tweeter handle, indicting secret voice messages he credited to the Minister of transportation Chibuike Amaechi.
Amaechi is the Director General of the Presidential relection bid of President Muhammadu Buhari and the Minister of Transportation since the inception of the APC led federal government.
In the tape, the speaker was quoted as saying:
"The President does not listen to anybody. He doesn't care. You can write what you want to write. The President doesn't care. Does he read? He will read, he will laugh. He will say 'come, come and see, they are abusing me here.'
"In fact, there was one case of somebody in Onitsha, a trader in Onitsha who couldn't sell his goats during Sallah. And I was with Oga on the plane and the man was busy abusing Buhari. He said, 'Amaechi, come, what is my business with Onitsha goat seller?'"
In the second tape, the speaker said:
"This country can never change, I swear. The only way this country can change is in a situation where everybody is killed. This country is going nowhere.”
Omokri has been one of the major critics of the APC goverment under Buhari's watch.
