Statement by the President on Passover

President Barack Obama and his family have expressed their best wishes to everyone celebrating Pesach (the Jewish festival, beginning on the 14th of Nisan and celebrated for either seven or eight days, that commemorates the Exodus of the Israelite from Egypt) around the globe. this was contained in a statement from the office of the press secretary. the President was quoted as saying "Michelle and I send our best wishes to everyone celebrating Pesach in the United States, in the State of Israel, and around the world. "
the President who described storytelling as one of the most powerful rituals of the event saw the event as a different one from all the Passovers because it will mark their last Seder in the White House.
"One of Passover’s most powerful rituals is its tradition of storytelling – millions of Jewish families, friends, and even strangers sitting together and sharing the inspirational tale of the Exodus.  Led by a prophet and chased by an army, sustained by a faith in God and rewarded with deliverance, the Israelites’ journey from bondage to the Promised Land remains one of history’s greatest examples of emancipation.  This story of redemption and hope, told and retold over thousands of years, has comforted countless Jewish families during times of oppression, echoing in rallying cries for civil rights around the world.
Mah nishtana halailah hazeh?  For Michelle and me, this Passover is different from all other Passovers because it will mark our last Seder in the White House – a tradition we have looked forward to each year since hosting the first-ever White House Seder in 2009.  We will join millions around the world to celebrate redemption at God’s mighty hand and pray for those who still are denied their freedom.  We dip the greens of renewal in saltwater to recall the tears of those imprisoned unjustly.  As we count the 10 Plagues, we spill wine from our glasses to remember those who suffered and those who still do.  And as we humbly sing “Dayenu,” we are mindful that even the smallest blessings and slowest progress deserve our gratitude.
Passover gives us all a special opportunity to renew our belief in things unseen even as the future remains uncertain.  May this season inspire us all to rededicate ourselves to peace and freedom for all of God’s children."  From our family to yours, chag sameach.

Positivity, the hallmark of success

Positivity (the state of being positive) is the hallmark of success in any chosen field of endeavor. It makes you to say no to odds and stand on what you believe. It creates the passion necessary to drive your dreams home and repels the negative thoughts that try to set you back. When you are positive and optimistic about your dream you become mindful of the friends you keep, keep friends of like mind, like-dream and friends who have succeeded in your field. Positivity means that you approach seemingly unpleasant situations in a more positive, optimistic and productive way.  You are ever hopeful of the best and not of the worst result, you have an uncompromised and firm belief in your dream, which is why you will ever reject other ‘good’ dreams.
To be positive, you stand out of the crowd and can say no to certain things.

When you are positive and optimistic about your dream you become mindful of the friends you keep, keep friends of like mind, like-dream and friends who have succeeded in your field.

The Oba of Bennin, Oba Erediauwa is dead

The Helmsman of the revered traditional stool of Benin the Oba of Benin, Omo n’Oba n’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Erediauwa, has passed on.
The information is contained in a statement released by the Governor of Edo State Adams Oshiomhole.
The statement reads: “Our hearts are heavy, laden with pains and grief, at the announcement of the passing on to glory of Omo n’Oba n’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Erediauwa of Benin, our highly revered Oba,” the Governor said.
He described the late Oba as” a distinguished Edo numero uno, an accomplished Nigerian, a seasoned bureaucrat, quintessential unifier, unique personage and exemplary Omo N’Oba, whose reign brought distinction, immense class, finesse and integrity to traditional institution in Edo state and the country at large.”
“To us at the Edo state Government, he was our strongest supporter; both in his uncommon faith in our ability and his readiness to offer uncommon advice to sharpen public discourse in our shared commitment to transform Edo state. It gladdens our heart, therefore, that our revered Oba was alive to witness the positive transformation of Edo state under his reign, and for standing with us through thick and thin in the course of making the Edo economy a treasure to behold. Being part of that eloquent history of transformation before his reunion with his ancestors gives us further reassurance that he will occupy a special pride of place in the hereafter.
“We are enveloped with a deep sense of nostalgia that our great Oba, a great-grandfather, grandfather, father, uncle and iconoclastic royal father of exemplary carriage and conduct, who sustained the dignity of the average Edo mind, has joined his ancestors. We are, however, encouraged by the fact that another great son of the Great Benin Kingdom, His Royal Highness, Edaiken N’Uselu, Crown Prince Eheneden Erediauwa, who is already showing manifest quintessential attributes of his great father, will step into his father’s big shoes.
“Edo people will miss our iconoclastic royal father of the great Benin Kingdom. Nigerians and Nigeria will miss this great exemplar of a Royal Father, an Oba of distinction and integrity. Adieu until we meet to part no more.”
