Gratitude attitude to my situation

Wait, wait wait, have you ever imagined your situation to look as if you have got no reason to be happy and appreciate what you have. My dear, may I prove you wrong? I am not discouraging the quest to step forward and make advances but I am trying to advocate for being appreciative for what you have.
I was working in a forest and came across these huts and to my chagrin, I found people living there. Do you know what? They still live as VIPs. Can you imagine the risks they face-wild animal attack, mosquitoes and other insect bite, no portable water, no access road and all the rest. Before then I was a kind of grumble because of the difficulties we experienced in the forest. But when I saw these men in their huts, I needed no prophet to tell me to have a gratitude attitude to my work. My brother, I vow even if I am offered whooping sum of a million Dollars to pas some nights there, I am convinced I would never accept that offer. Yet people are there living as kings and queens. To these men, if they could be where you are, they have experienced heaven on earth.
I thought about something-that there are people who craving to be in my position, do the kind of work I’m working and all the rest but I do not seem to notice the good things about my job. Some who got jobs with a little pay grumble, the jobless pray for jobs of little pay. The ones with jobs of little pay pray for jobs with big pay and the pray continues. The sick prays 'Lord, if you can make me fit to walk out of this bed, I would serve you for the rest of my life'
The childless prays ‘Lord, if you can give me at least one of my own, I would dedicate his life to you’ The one with a child may pray ‘Lord, if you can give me just one more, I would thank you like never before.’ The one with many complains about the palaver he experiences from the children. Now the singles may pray Lord please connect me to the man of my heart.’ The prayer and quest continues.
It is a world of insatiability. People craving to be somewhere or to possess something but failing to see something good about where they are and about what they have. In as much as it wise to advance, it is also wise to be thankful to God for what have and where are.

The porverty stricken mentality

Ever seen a man that prefers to wallow in poverty thinking he is making life easier? I have and by extension, the way such people reason when it gets to some issues makes you convinces you that there people who love to be poor. Such people are poverty stricken to the extent that every move they make depicts and represent poverty. How would you describe someone who preferred to collect money in exchange of something that would make him live healthier?
To such people, they would rather prefer a sachet water in the place of a bottled water, now when you offer them sachet water, they would prefer drilled (borehole) water in the place of the sachet water. All they calculate is what could be done for them to be left with some change. My brother, to me, health and not just health but good health is my priority. I rather spend money to prevent disease than save millions of money that would be spent on treatment.
The God that created us is wealthy; he gives everyone to opportunity to be like him. And if he is a wealthy God, and has offered you and I the opportunity to live wealthy, why then are some people poor. The answer is simple, mentality. The difference between a wealthy man and a poor man is mentality. The wealthy man cultivates the mentality of the rich, and puts them to work while the poor cultivates the poor man's mentality puts that to work and reaps what he has sown.

One of the attitudes that is cultivated by human being is the Poverty mentality attitude. Not a good one really. It's a way of thinking that promotes and houses poverty. The people of this attitude do focus on what one doesn't have rather than what one does have. They are always thinking of how they would exchange what they have which is of much benefit especially to their health in the place of what they do not have. they are Self centered, unproductive and too lazy to take the bull by the horn. Thoughts and comments such as "I can't afford this..." and "I'll never have enough money for that..." may turn out to be a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Zig Ziglar noted that focusing on the concern about what is missing in one's life rather than focusing on what is there can lead to further poverty. Ziglar and others believe the ones who break out of poverty and really succeed are those who use what they do have, are grateful for what they do have and most of all aren't jealous of what others have. Basically, it's an attitude of self-belief and empowerment rather than one of self-pity and jealousy that is thought to combat the destructive poverty mentality.
Being positive and building on what you do have can lead to developing a positive, workable plan that can lead to all types of successes even if you don't believe the so-called poverty mentality exists. The ideas of thinking positively and believing in ourselves and our abilities often seem so cliche that many of us tend to ignore these concepts. Yet if we think about it, ignoring them may be quite self destructive.
If we don't want to live in poverty, no matter how much we may wish to be rich or richer it isn't enough. We have to have a workable plan and an attitude that brings money our way rather than repels it and keeps others from wanting to help us. The first step in overcoming poverty mentality is becoming aware that we have it. We can rethink the statements we make about money and stop focusing on being poor. Rather than concentrating on what we don't have compared to others, we need to focus on what we do have, what our purpose is and how we can positively get what we want.
